FLOW is a professional team that does specialty coffee roasting. The task was to develop a brand that will change the current attitude to specialty coffee.

Specialty roasters usually talk about coffee in details: where and how it has been produced, what sort it belongs to, how it has been processed and roasted, and how to brew it correctly. However, nowadays consumers are less and less eager to understand the nuances and increasingly want to drink just high quality coffee, which is easy to brew and tasty to drink. Hence FLOW’s main idea is to stop cultivating audience for a complex product and to make a complex product easy for a larger audience. The first step is to remove all additional information from the pack, leaving only the essentials.

The second point is that, instead of the usual soft pack, FLOW uses a carton. The unusual package helps to distance from competitors and create a unique brand identity.

At the center of the packaging design are the characters and situations. Characters on FLOW’s package can go for a walk, get carried away by their favorite game, go skateboarding or sunbathing on the beach. It’s all about being in the flow, about enjoying every minute of life.
In cooperation with the client, we came up with the idea of an additional point of contact on the packaging: a window with a tear-off overlay. On every box, under the illustration, there is an inscription "catch the flow", with the hidden extension of the phrase: "…of the shining stars", "…of the summer wind", "…of inspiration". Every character has its own flow of something wonderful.
